Show Me Excellence Events
Now that you’ve officially begun your OpEx journey, it’s time to get involved. In addition to each agency’s OpEx projects and activities, the Show Me Excellence Community also offers and highlights statewide events designed to be relevant to all team members, with the premier event being the Show Me Excellence Summit. This annual summit is held in October and is a great way to learn how experts in the State of Missouri as well as professionals in the private sector use OpEx in their organizations and share their experiences. Below is a calendar to highlight the various events and activities available to state team members.

Initiative Team Bootcamp Fall Session #1

Initiative Team Bootcamp is an intensive one-day workshop structured around developing the initiative contract for you project using industry standard tools.
Who is ITBC for?
- Identified team leaders and members of agency initiative teams
What will you accomplish?
- With the provided workbooks and training, you will draft the first version of your initative contract to take back with you to your agency and set the initative up for success
What will you learn?
- Foundations of Project Management.
- How to draft an initiative contract, including defining problems, measuring success, and developing milestones
- How to develop a quality team and engage different working styles.
- How to identify project risk and how to mitigate it.
Why should you go?
- Good quality initative contracts will help promote better follow through to project completion.

- This event is held in Conference Room 490-492 at the Harry S. Truman Building (301 West High Street, Jeff City, MO).
- Registration begins at 8:30 AM, workshop starts at 9:00 AM and ends at 4:30 PM.
